    5th Gen Rear Bumper Removal

OK Taking off the rear bumper to get some custom work done.

Now I haven't taken off the rear before. So are there any tricks or hidden bolts I should be aware of before I damage anything?

    Thanks

Do it in a warm enviroment so less chance of snapping a $6 retainer that Honda may not have in stock. Another helper would be advisable or put a carpet under the bumper so it wouldn't fall on the ground and scratch it.

From what I remember it was fairly easy. No need to remove tail lights. Here is my old Prelude during my rust proofing process:

So do I unbolt the bolts in the rear wheel wells and pull? Or are there more bolts? Pull it back or the sides outward first?

one bolt on each side (inside wheel wells) and then there are plastic clips where the trunk door meets the bumper, and thats all if I remember correctly...

WD40 the underside push clips to loosen them up and remove the dirt. If they're stuck, they may break.
