Re: ST Sway Bar Install (w/pics)
Lloyd mentioned he wanted to FAQ this...
Anyway, install was pretty much the same for a 4th gen. Some notes: - Top bolt of the endlinks came out pretty easily, with just a bit of prying to start. 14mm wrench. They were in pristine condition and I actually could have reused them. My brother kept them for work: You never know when you'll need some bolts. ![]() - For some reason, the endlink kit I got from Honda did not include the lock nuts from the lower bolt of the endlink, so we were forced to find a way to get the old nuts off without damaging them. Even though everything under the car was kept good and greasy, there was no way they would make it past the corroded threads which had been exposed for 17 years. So my brother got the sawsall and severed the bolt so the end was flush with the top of the nut. After that it was a matter of vice-gripping the other end of the bolt, and it too came off without much difficulty. 17mm wrench for that one. - A 1/2" socket fit the bushing bracket bolts which came with the ST bar perfectly, which was kind of odd for a metric car. From start to finish just under 2hrs.
